Boly plays a vital role in the medical industry by manufacturing components that are essential for various medical devices. In fact, more than 50% of our production is dedicated to parts used in ventilators and anesthetic delivery systems, some of which can be retrofitted to serve as ventilators. Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we have taken on the responsibility of producing approximately 30 different parts specifically designed for breathing devices. These components are relatively small in size but require tight tolerances and adhere to precise cleaning specifications to ensure the utmost safety and functionality.
While stainless steel and aluminum are the primary materials used for ventilator components, our expertise extends to working with a variety of other materials. This includes nickel alloy, copper, and specific types of plastic. By leveraging our knowledge and capabilities in material selection, we can tailor our manufacturing processes to meet the unique requirements of each medical device, ensuring optimal performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
The ventilator industry demands products that meet exact specifications and the highest standards for reliability and quality. Through a combination of technology and in-house engineering and manufacturing expertise, we are able to design, manufacture, and deliver the highest quality products and sub-assemblies in the industry. To meet the rigorous demands of the medical industry, we utilize a range of advanced machinery including twin-spindle lathes and Swiss-type lathes. These cutting-edge machines enable us to achieve the necessary precision and quality required for medical components. Our ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and extensive knowledge of materials source requirements make Boly fully compatible with ventilator industry expectations.
We recognize the critical importance of providing reliable and high-quality components for the medical industry, especially during times of heightened demand. Our commitment to precision manufacturing, stringent quality control, and adherence to cleaning specifications allows us to contribute to the production of safe and effective medical devices.

Stainless Steel and Specialty Steel
Stainless steel for ventilators is the most preferred material of construction. Stainless steel has many unique properties, such as corrosion resistance, heat and fire resistance, and high levels of hygiene. Ventilators should be able to endure extensive wear and tear, resist contamination, and should hold up under different cleaning methods, such as chemical washes or UV.

Aluminum Alloys
There is a great deal of aluminum alloys in the ventilator and respirators. Most aluminum alloys offer high weight to strength ratios, corrosion resistance, formability, and favorable pricing.

Nickel and High Temperature Alloys
In ventilator and respiratory applications, nickel steel alloys are extremely popular. This demand is due to its increased hardness, tensile strength, and elastic limit, all without reduced ductility. You find nickel alloys in different ventilator products including, housing, shaft, sensor port etc. The nickel-based super alloys Inconel and Hastelloy are also used extensively.
